Pricing and Policy

Above all, I am a therapist who believes therapy should be affordable and accessible to the people living and working in our community. This mindset leads me to work to provide services at fair and affordable rates for individuals and families living and working in Mexia, Fairfield, Groesbeck, Teague and other surrounding areas.   This being the case, we can work together more efficiently toward successful completion of the counseling process.

Many of my clients have completed therapy before they meet their deductible, because rates at  Creekside Christian Counseling are close to half the industry norm for therapy, which can be anywhere from $100-$175 per 50 minute session.

Regular Session Rates ($60 min): $65

Intake Sessions (1.5-2.0 Hrs):  $100-$130

Phone or eTherapy:  The above rates apply.

Sliding scale is available with documented proof of income.

Things to consider about insurance

Please check your insurance coverage carefully by asking the following questions to determine how much you may be reimbursed for out-of-pocket costs:

  • What is my co-pay?  Be sure to compare your per-session  co-payment amount to the self-pay rates above to decide if using insurance is right for you.
  • What is my yearly deductible or out of pocket cost limit?  This is the amount your insurance plan says you must pay per year before they provide reimbursement.  Please refer to the statement at the top of this page.

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?  Many insurance companies cover a limited number of therapy sessions.  Marriage/couples therapy is usually not covered by most insurances.

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?    How much will your insurance pay for 1 session?

  • How much does my insurance pay for an "out-of-network" provider?  "Out of network" simply means that if you choose a counselor who is not contracted with your insurance company, it is the amount your insurance company will reimburse you per session if you choose that therapist.

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?  A referral is simple to request from your primary care physician, but may be required for your insurance to authorize payment for therapy.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your first appointment and do not call or email/text to cancel your intake session a day ahead of time, you will be billed a $25 "no show" fee.  You may avoid this fee simply by informing the counselor by a text/email or phone that you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Please kindly give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a session. Frequent short-notice cancellations or no-shows may result in termination of services.

Payment
Cash, check and all major credit cards including Health Savings Account (HSA) cards are accepted for payment.
There is a returned check fee of $25.00.
